The ruling body of the Worshipful Company of Lightmongers (the Lightmongers) is the Court, which is equivalent to the Board of Directors of a Company or organisation. The Court oversees the day-to-day operation of the Company through:

• The Clerk, who is responsible for the routine operation and administration of the Company.
• A charitable trust to manage its charitable activities in respect of Charity and Education. This is in the form of a separate legal entity with a board of Trustees
